  Chad Finchum to make Cup debut at Bristol Motor Speedway in April Chad Finchum will drive the No. 66 Toyota owned by Carl Long. WVLT first reported the news. Finchum will be pulling double duty that weekend for MBM as he also competes in the April 14 Xfinity Series race.A native of Knoxville, Tennessee, Finchum will be sponsored by Smithbilt Homes of Knoxville in the Cup race and Concrete North, Inc. in the Xfinity race.Finchum is a veteran of 12 Xfinity races over the last two seasons, all with MBM. His best result is 28th, twice (Daytona, Bristol). He’s started all five races this season.

The start time for Sunday’s Monster Energy Series NASCAR Cup race at Bristol Motor Speedway has been moved up by an hour because of the threat of rain.

NASCAR announced Saturday that the Food City 500 race will start at 1 p.m. ET (Fox), instead of the scheduled start time of 2 p.m. The green flag was originally set for 2:13 p.m.

The decision was made after the race-day forecast showed a 90 percent chance of precipitation with thunderstorms, followed by a 60 percent chance of showers into Sunday night, per the National Weather Service.

The start time for Sunday’s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup race at Atlanta Motor Speedway has been moved up by more than an hour because of the threat of rain. NASCAR announced Saturday that the race will start at 1 p.m. ET (Fox), instead of the scheduled start time of 2:16 p.m.

Texas race times pushed back two hours: Texas Motor Speedway received approval from NASCAR to move the start times of its two NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races for the upcoming season to be consistent with the Western Region start times .

The event must reach the halfway point to be official. If the race is not held Sunday, it likely will be rescheduled for Monday when there is a 30 percent chance of showers.

Xfinity and Truck Series schedules mostly unchanged for 2019 .
NASCAR has released the 2019 NASCAR Xfinity Series and the 2019 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series schedules. The NASCAR Xfinity Series schedule is nearly identical from this year's schedule with the only slight change are the dates of the races while the newly-named truck series schedule will feature a few changes.Texas Motor Speedway moves its fall truck date to the spring weekend while Pocono will hold its event prior to Eldora next year. The spring truck race at Texas will now be held on March 29th with Eldora's race to be held in August for the first time in its history on August 1st.
