Mini John Cooper Works GP Concept

Mini John Cooper Works GP Concept Could the GP return for round three?Whereas the Electric concept showcases Mini’s city-friendly EV future, the JCW GP concept flaunts the brand’s racing heritage. Although Mini isn’t sharing powertrain details, the concept’s two center exhaust pipes and rear-window-mounted fuel filler lead us to believe the GP concept sips good old-fashioned gasoline.

However, that’s not all the case after Van -Sport introduces the limited -run Transit MS-RT R-spec edition . Its interior shows off the new Rally front bucket seats complete with suede leather upholstery, blue seat belts and a color grey dashboard.

‘The seats were OK but they get tatty and covered in all sorts of oil and grease. I couldn’t stand on the grille to clean the top of the windscreen. Ken Block limited edition Ford Transit Custom review. Read the full Ford Transit review on Parkers Vans .

Based on the existing MS-RT Transit Custom, the new special edition features a beefier set of brakes with braided hoses in blue or yellow. It also gets custom engine hoses for the turbodiesel 2.0-liter engine, along with a new exhaust box and an aggressive body featuring a model-exclusive front diffuser. The look-at-me vibe is enhanced by the graphics pack and a set of extra lights incorporated into the front grille. As a final touch, the optional black 20-inch OZ Racing wheels further contribute to the van’s special appearance.

Only 50 units will ever be made and all of them are going to share the pair of body-hugging Recaro bucket front seats fitted with blue seatbelts also installed for the rear seats to match the stitching applied on the steering wheel and gear lever.

The MS-RT Transit Custom in its standard configuration already has a healthy 170 horsepower and 405 Newton-meters (299 pound-feet) worth of diesel punch, but the R-Spec dials the output to 208 hp and a torquetastic 486 Nm (358 lb-ft).

The company is currently taking orders in the United Kingdom for its racy van and is asking £35,995 (plus VAT). You will have to fork out an additional £500 if you want those wheels or stick with the standard smaller 18-inch set you get on the regular version. To sweeten the pot, MS-RT will also throw in a custom sports exhaust system to better play the engine’s diesel song.
