Starbucks Just Released 2 New Frappuccinos

Starbucks Just Released 2 New Frappuccinos Starbucks is notorious for seasonally spiking their menus with new and outrageous frappuccinos. Both new additions sound seriously extra, but what sets them apart from their equally excessive predecessors is the new addition of cold brew whipped cream. Sounds like the perfect way to kick off summer, right? Not quite. If you’re watching your waistline and looking to get lean this season, these shocking nutritionals may deter you from placing an order at the ‘Bux.

We tried the two new Starbucks drinks , Salted Cream Cold Foam Cold Brew and Iced Vanilla Bean Coconutmilk Latte, to reveal whether they're worth. Even though it isn’t too sweet, it is definitely sweet—the perfect treat to turn to when your afternoon candy craving hits.

Potterheads said the new Starbucks drink supposedly tastes like butterbeer, so we decided to see if they were right. In the books, it's described as a frothy drink served in mugs and is typically the go - to drink in Hogsmeade.

The Salted Cream Cold Foam Cold Brew and Iced Vanilla Bean Coconutmilk Latte are the newest Starbucks drinks to be released this summer. Here's our review of each one.

Starbucks has been on a roll with its summer brews, from the Serious Strawberry Frappuccino to the Mango Dragonfruit Refresher, so we couldn't wait to try the two new Starbucks drinks that dropped this week: the Salted Cream Cold Foam Cold Brew and Iced Vanilla Bean Coconutmilk Latte. Spoiler alert: We were pretty impressed.

Though the Salted Cream Cold Foam Cold Brew is a mouthful to say to your barista, you'll be happy you made the effort. This drink starts off with Starbucks’ signature cold brew over ice, mixed with a bit of caramel syrup, and topped with the new Salted Cream Cold Foam. The Cold Foam melts right into the cold brew, but a little bit is left at the top so you can see the beautiful bubbles. We loved the subtle saltiness of the cold foam, and appreciated that this drink was barely sweet. You could order this at any time of day and be very happy with your choice.

When it came to the Iced Vanilla Bean Coconutmilk Latte, we were nervous it was going to be a bit too sweet for us, given that it has both vanilla bean powder and (naturally sweet) coconut milk, but we were pleasantly surprised. Though it did need to be mixed up and shaken quite a bit in order to combine the espresso shots that were layered on top of the vanilla bean powder and coconut milk mixture, once it was incorporated, we thought it tasted like a delicious melted coffee milkshake. Because this drink uses Starbucks Blonde Espresso, it is silky and smooth, without being bitter at all. Even though it isn’t too sweet, it is definitely sweet—the perfect treat to turn to when your afternoon candy craving hits.

According to Starbucks, all of their new cold foam drinks should be served with strawless lids, so that the foam can be savored with each sip, however ours wasn’t. Given that these drinks launched yesterday, we'll let it slide. Hopefully the next time we order a Salted Cream Cold Foam Cold Brew (which will be very soon!), we will get to try out one of Starbucks’ new lids, which are part of their promise to go strawless by 2020.

Starbucks Is Adding Two New Drinks To Its Permanent Menu Tomorrow .
This morning, Starbucks made an exciting announcement that proves it is continuing to shift focus away from specialty drinks and back toward expanding its permanent menu. Tomorrow, the chain will introduce not one but two new cold coffee drinks to permanent menus nationwide. One is called the Salted Cream Cold Foam Cold Brew and the other is the Iced Vanilla Bean Coconutmilk Latte. We got to taste test both beverages, and though they might be around for the long haul, they're especially perfect for cooling down this summer.© Photo: Courtesy of Starbucks.
