Guys. Unicorn summer rolls are here and they are as magical as they sound

Guys. Unicorn summer rolls are here and they are as magical as they sound Based on the pastel blue and purple-tinted foods cluttering our Instagram feeds, it seems the rainbow trend has been re-incarnated into unicorns and mermaids. (And it’s…In addition to unicorn lattes, Starbucks beverages, and pastel-colored toast, we’ve also seen unicorn noodles all over our social feeds. The trend originated with a blogger in the Netherlands called Indigo Kitchen, who has started calling his creations “rainbowls.” Other bloggers have since caught on, creating giant bowls of rainbow rice noodles.

If you're ready for the rainbow food trend to end, a black charcoal latte might just be the thing you've been waiting for. Made with activated charcoal, this dark black drink not only looks mysteriously cool but also apparently comes with several detoxifying health benefits. In addition to relieving nasty hangovers, it is also touted as being able aid with any other gastrointestinal issues you might have.

While it's not huge in the States (yet), it's already a hit across the UK and parts of Asia including Indonesia.

A Tall Starbucks Latte Will Cost You a Staggering $12.32 in This Country

A Tall Starbucks Latte Will Cost You a Staggering $12.32 in This Country Starbucks lattes may be seen as a bit of a pricey indulgence in American culture, but buying a morning latte from the biggest coffee chain in the world is a lot more extravagant in certain other countries. A recent study from consumer research group Value Penguin calculated the cost (in U.S. dollars) of a tall latte from Starbucks in 44 countries around the world, adjusting for relative cost of other goods in those countries. The results were pretty shocking. Russia had the worst price adjustment: A tall Starbucks latte there costs the equivalent of $12.32, a full four dollars more than the next-priciest latte ($8.21 in Indonesia). The country that was the closest to the United States in price was Australia, where a tall Starbucks latte will cost relatively $2.86, just nine cents more than an American version. “In all countries, the relative cost of that Starbucks cup was higher than in the U.S., but there was variation in how much higher it was,” the Value Penguin research findings read. “The figure we show, then, essentially represents the sticker shock, from mild to major, that you’d feel if you lived in the country, making a local salary, and perused the prices at one of the local Starbucks. Put another way, it’s how pricey that drink would seem to a local latte drinker, in light of what most things cost in the country.” The top 10 list of the priciest lattes is below, and you can find the full list here. Russia $12.32 Indonesia $8.21 Vietnam $8.18 Thailand $8.04 India $7.99 Egypt $7.59 Malaysia $7.23 China $7.18 Saudi Arabia $7.08 Poland $6.

Instagram user Pavie V. got one of these lattes at Farm Girl Cafe in Notting Hill, saying it tasted like, " Charcoal with cashew milk and agave syrup." This has led to "Black Lemonades," and " Charcoal ice cream," which have slowly made some noise on social media feeds .

The magic ingredient to pulling off the black hue — activated charcoal — can have major benefits in your beauty routine, but it’s also super detoxing if you consume it. Read on and drink up ! What is your favorite latte recipe? Show us your faves by tagging us on Instagram + using the hashtag

Seattle Is America’s Latest City to Tax Sugary Drinks .
Residents will pay an extra $1.18 for a two-liter soda starting in July. The bill passed 7–1, which is kind of a burst of wind in the soda-tax movement’s sails. Lately, it’s run into a few hiccups: Last month, voters in Santa Fe resoundingly rejected a proposed tax on sugary drinks citywide, and Philly’s tax has managed to both upset residents at its ubiquity and fall short of the revenue it was predicted to bring in (although those aren’t necessarily mutually exclusive).
