  Go inside the stunning French bistro that was just named the best new restaurant in America <p>This year, the title of "Best New Restaurant" went to New York City's Le Coucou. Opened in June 2016, the French restaurant is helmed by Chef Daniel Rose — who also runs the Paris-based Spring — and famed restaurateur Stephen Starr.</p>The winners of the James Beard Awards were announced last week, crowning the best establishments and biggest players in the restaurant industry. Known as the Oscars of the culinary world, a panel of over 600 judges selected winners in 23 different categories, from "Rising Star Chef" to "Design Icon.

  This Treehouse-Like Home Is Stunning Inside and Out © Malan Vorster Architecture Interior Design + Adam Letch Even though this South African home isn't technically a treehouse, it might as well be. A local firm named Malan Vorster Architecture Interior Design was tasked with creating a modern, cabin-like abode on a tree-rich property. The results: This home, which they dubbed the "Paarman Treehouse" and built on stilts to allow for elevated views among nature.

Treehouse lookout: <p>About an hour drive from <a href=Zihuatanejo, along Mexico’s Pacific coast, you’ll find Playa Viva, a sustainable boutique hotel with an opportunity unlike any other: the chance to stay in an ultra-modern bamboo treehouse. Expect to be dazzled by the unobstructed ocean view. The 700-square-root cylindrical treehouse comes complete with a king-size bed, bathroom, open-air shower, and even an in-floor hammock. Keeping its footprint as light as it looks, electricity and hot water are generated with solar power. We’ll race you there.

As you climb up, you'll pass a plant room on the ground level, a living space on level one, a bedroom on level two and a roof deck on level three.
