We Are Here For Michelle Obama's Food Opinions

We Are Here For Michelle Obama's Food Opinions Former First Lady, Michelle Obama, doesn't have to worry as much about public opinion now that she's no longer in office, and we are so here for it. On Tuesday, Michelle Obama was the featured guest at Klick Health's MUSE New York event, According to People, while there, she was asked more than one question about food, and when it came to giving answers, Obama did not hold back. People reported that she was asked about her experiences dining around the world during her stint as first lady, and one specific question that was thrown her way was if the White House or Buckingham Palace served better food.

a person posing for a picture© Teen Vogue Now that prom season is finally upon us, many students are finally starting to reveal the prom dresses that they have searched for months—sometimes years—to find. Many of the styles are a healthy mix of Princess moments and edgy statement looks, while some choose to DIY their prom night outfits, resulting in pieces that totally take our breath away. One such student, Skyler Branch of White Station High School in Memphis, Tennessee, created a look that was an homage to black icons, featuring the faces of Michelle Obama, Oprah, and more. It was more than just a prom dress—it was a work of art.

The look was inspired by the passing of her great-grandmother on her father's side (someone with whom she was quite close). Using the heartbreaking event as guidance, Skyler chose to honor other strong black women, like her great-grandmother, through her look on prom night. Skyler's mother spoke to Yahoo! Style, explaining, "She said, ‘Mom, there’s been so many extraordinary African-American women who have done so much for me. I want to show them some respect so that they know that not just the older adults but the younger adults appreciate who paved the way."

Students protest prom dress code: It's 'discriminating and insulting'

Students protest prom dress code: It's 'discriminating and insulting' It's the latest prom dress code to spark controversy.Annie Funaki, a student at Kauai High School in Lihue, Hawaii, started an online petition to protest her school's prom dress code, which she called "discriminating and insulting.

Oprah , Michelle Obama and Lupita are living proof you need talent, brains and great work ethics to make it. To wear such a non-traditional (albeit beautiful) dress to her prom took guts. A lot of students are afraid to go against the mainstream.

But perhaps the most iconic of all icons is former First Lady Michelle Obama rocking the wide-brimmed black hat And you must be Michelle Obama if you can pay homage to Beyoncé while still improving on the How Black Parkland Students Were Silenced A Few Days Before The Shooting.

The female figures ranged from Michelle Obama and Oprah to actress Taraji P. Hensen and writer and activist Maya Angelou. Additionally, she included photos of those family members in her own life whom she wanted to honor. Her vision was brought to life by seamstress Shannon Pierce.

In a day and age in which teens look to all ends of the earth for their prom night inspiration, this female empowerment-centric look certainly makes a statement that will not be forgotten, long after the lights go out on the dance floor.

As city waits for ex-president's library, luster of Obama tourist sites fades .
On a sunny Wednesday afternoon, there were no tourists walking through the doors of the Hyde Park Hair Salon, where Barack Obama regularly got his signature cut before he became president. No one in the neighborhood seemed to know Obama was in town, only a neighborhood away at the Stony Island Arts Bank to greet his first class of Obama Foundation fellows.
