This Is the Actual Reason You Can’t Recline Your Airplane Seat During Landing

This Is the Actual Reason You Can’t Recline Your Airplane Seat During Landing In the world of air travel, there are many quirks that we don’t quite understand. Yes, yes it does. As reported by Condé Nast Traveler, straightening your seat can indeed be the difference between life and death.

WWE Superstar Heath Slater closed 2017 on a pretty awkward note. According to FoxNews.com, 34-year-old Slater was on a flight to Miami for Monday Night Raw on December 31 when he got stuck in an airplane bathroom after the knob on the inside of the door broke off as he attempted to exit.

The way the video loops allows you to believe that Slater is struggling to get out of that bathroom and Axel is just goofing on him for eternity. Apologies to everyone whose greatest fear is being stuck in an airplane restroom, but this is a good reminder that even WWE Superstars can get humiliated from

According to FoxNews.com, 34-year-old Slater was on a flight to Miami for Monday Night Raw on December 31 when he got stuck in an airplane bathroom after the knob on the inside of the door broke off as he attempted to exit.

After learning of the WWE Superstar’s plight, crew members on the flight jumped into action and unhinged the door to the bathroom before forcefully unlatching the lock with a screwdriver. A short time later, Slater was freed from the tiny commode.

This Is What Those Little Hooks on Airplane Wings Are Really For

This Is What Those Little Hooks on Airplane Wings Are Really For If you’ve ever snagged a window seat by the wing, you’ve probably spent a good deal of time staring out, trying to sneak a peek of the scene passing below. (By the way, this is how to figure out which seat is next to the wing without looking outside.) After a little bit, though, you might notice something weird on the otherwise flat wing: two yellow hooks about a third of the way to the tip of the wing. If the bright yellow color wasn’t already a sign that the feature must be important, the placement should, too. Why would any plane design want anything getting in the way of the smooth aerodynamic surface? Well, that hook just might save your life.

Don’t worry, everyone; Slater eventually got out of the bathroom . Apologies to everyone whose greatest fear is being stuck in an airplane restroom, but this is a good reminder that even WWE Superstars can get humiliated from time to time, too.

At the time of the incident, Slater was traveling with fellow WWE Superstar Curtis Axel, who managed to film the rescue. Slater posted the video on Instagram, but be warned, some of the language is NSFW:

“I locked it and then I went to unlock it and the knob came off and I’m like, ‘Oh you gotta be kidding me’,” Slater said after getting out of the bathroom.

Slater later said the restroom was becoming very hot while he waited to be rescued, but he was thankful to the crew for freeing him from his mid-flight ordeal.

The WWE Superstars made it successfully to their Florida destination, and Slater was on the New Year’s Day edition of Raw where he lost to Braun Strowman.

Why You Should Never, Ever Take Your Shoes off on an Airplane

Why You Should Never, Ever Take Your Shoes off on an Airplane Flight attendants have seen everything while flying—seriously, these are the secrets they aren’t telling you. Airplane bathrooms might seem like they’re clean, but they’re actually pretty unsanitary. In between flights, the bathrooms are only given a quick spray of disinfectant, a wipe down, and then restocked with toilet paper. And we hate to break it to you, but that liquid you see on the floor most likely isn’t water, so you should really be wearing your shoes. Make sure you never do these 17 other things on a plane, either.

The One Man Band managed to get himself stuck in an airplane bathroom and the whole ordeal was caught on camera by Curtis Axel who also plays the role of narrator. The door jammed shut and staff on the aircraft had to help free the WWE Superstar .

How to Pick the Most Comfortable, Spacious Seats on an Airplane .
If there is someone who knows how to make a plane ride more comfortable, it’s the pilot. That plane is their office, and they know all its secrets. Here are some tips from a professional flier on how to make the skies a little more friendly—for you. Metro.uk spoke with Jonny Knowlson, who has become rather famous on social media as Jonny the Pilot. He blogs about traveling, of course, and flies for a commercial airline. Though he’s based in the United Kingdom, flying through the air in a metal tube is pretty much the same over every country.
