According to police, Teon Arrington, 24, claimed to be an officer needing assistance with a suspect at gunpoint.

WLWT obtained recordings of the calls he is suspected of making.

In the calls, you can hear a lot of commotion and a man saying something about his radio not working.

In the calls, he tells dispatchers he is an officer in need of backup.

CALLER: "Dryer, get them up here please. Our radio is not working."


CALLER: "Dryer, we don't know our location. Can you get them over here, please?"

Blue Ash police reports show two calls made on Feb. 2.

One of the calls went to Blue Ash police dispatchers. The second call went to Norwood police.

The report for the second call shows the person, believed to be Arrington, claimed to be an officer and told dispatchers he had "one at gunpoint" at the Kroger in Blue Ash.

NORWOOD DISPATCHER: "Norwood Communications, Dispatcher Watermake."

CALLER: "Hey, Watermake. Hey, we're at Kroger's parking lot. Can you send them over here, please?"

NORWOOD DISPATCHER: "Where are they at? Kroger?"

CALLER: "Kroger's parking lot. Yes. Our radio's not working."

Arrington has been arrested and convicted four times before on charges including making a false alarm and impersonating a police officer, according to online Hamilton County Court records.

WLWT called and emailed the prosecutor's office for comment on the case, but none of those messages have been returned.
