  Parents of Texas stabbing suspect apologize to victims The parents of a young man suspected of stabbing four students at the University of Texas are apologizing for his actions.Kenneth and Shantina White told KVUE-TV and the Austin American-Statesman that it was "frightful" to see their son's behavior and that they had sought psychiatric care for him. Kendrex White, 21, was charged with drunken driving following the accident and his parents wonder whether a head injury may have contributed to the change in his demeanor.

A 20-year-old man was charged with murder after a man was shot to death in an Oakland parking lot, authorities said Thursday.

Donald Aaron was charged by the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office on Wednesday in the death of 22-year-old Robert McCorvey, according to the Oakland Police Department.

Aaron is accused of shooting McCorvey to death just before 10:30 p.m. April 30 in the parking lot of a business in the 4000 block of Alameda Avenue. A Home Depot and a McDonald’s are among several establishments in the area.

Aaron was arrested May 4, police said. It wasn’t immediately clear why prosecutors took 13 days to charge him in the slaying.

Tennessee authorities say a man has died after he drove at police officers during a traffic stop. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says it's investigating the incident that happened early Saturday in Oneida.The agency says the man didn't immediately stop when two Scott County sheriff's deputies and one Oneida police officer tried to pull him over. After he stopped in a parking lot, officers removed a female passenger from the car.TBI says the driver refused police commands and drove at the officers, nearly hitting them.
