  Anti-drug operation nets 4 tonnes of cocaine in Spain, Morocco Spanish and Moroccan police have netted close to four tonnes of cocaine with a street value of over 100 million euros and arrested 40 people in a long-term anti-trafficking operation, Spain's interior ministry said Friday. The ministry said that 1.3 tonnes of the drug and more than 13 million euros in cash had been seized in Spain since the launch of the joint operation last year. Morocco's DGST domestic intelligence service meanwhile said it had seized 2.6 tonnes of cocaine in the joint operation, which had input from US, Italian and German law enforcement agencies.

A man facing court for a minor traffic ticket ended up in handcuffs after accidentally dropping a bag of cocaine right in front of the judge. Lemar Reed, 39, fronted Lorain Municipal Court in Cleveland, Ohio last week to enter his plea on the traffic charge .

A Colorado man who was in court for a felony drug charge got in more trouble when drugs allegedly fell out of his hat during the hearing, reports said. 

Juan Jose Vidrio Bibriesca, 43, was in court on Wednesday standing next to two defendants when a wad of cocaine allegedly fell from his hat, the Associated Press reported.

Bibriesca was allegedly taking off his hat in front of the judge when a square, folded paper fell to the floor, reports said. 

Police reviewed the surveillance footage and reportedly determined the cocaine inside of the paper had fallen from Bibriesca’s hat.

Bibriesca was walked over to the county jail and charged with narcotics possession and a bond violation.

Bibriesca was born in Mexico and is reportedly in the country illegally, reports said.
