Meek Mill's Legal Motion to Get Out of Prison on Bail Denied: Report Meek Mill‘s lawyers filed a motion to get him out of prison on bail, but the request was denied, per Philadelphia’s KYW radio station. According to the AP, the rapper’s legal team asked that Pennsylvania Common Please Court Judge Genece Brinkley step down from the case, alleging she has made the case “inappropriately personal” because she had yet to rule on his post-sentence motions, therefore blocking Mill from appealing. Earlier this month, the 30-year-old musician — born Robert Rihmeek Williams — was sentenced to two to four years in prison after violating the terms of his probation on a decade-old gun and drug charge by being arrested twice this year. “I met with Meek this morning and he asked me to thank his family, friends and fans for their love and support,” Mill’s lawyer Brian McMonagle told PEOPLE exclusively following the Nov. 6 sentencing. “We fully intend to right this terrible wrong and bring him home.” Mill entered the Pennsylvania State Correctional Institution on Nov. 8. Since the rapper — who once dated Nicki Minaj — was incarcerated, a number of celebrities and activists have come to his defense, calling his sentence extreme.

Jobs →. Feedback →. In the wake of protests against Meek Mill ’s prison sentence, the FBI has reportedly launched a probe against the Philadelphia judge who sentenced rapper Robert Rahmeek “ Meek Mill ” Williams to prison for violating his probation, Page Six reported Tuesday.

Meek Mill's lawyers file motion to get him out on bail PHILADELPHIA — Meek Mill's legal team has filed an emergency motion to get him out of prison on bail. The motion filed Tuesday with Pennsylvania's Superior Court contends the judge who sentenced the rapper hasn't responded to any post-sentencing appeals.Mill was sentenced this month to two to four years in prison for violating probation on a roughly decade-old gun and drug case. The sentence has been criticized as extreme, but Common Pleas Court Genece Brinkley has said Mill ignored the rules of his probation.Mill's legal team is asking Brinkley to step down from the case, saying she has made the case inappropriately personal.

Looks like Meek Mill is heading back to prison for at least 2 years. CBS Philly’s Joe Holden reported that the MMG rapper is slated to serve 2-4 yer sin pr.

Things aren't looking up for Meek Mill, whose second bail motion was denied once again by a Pennsylvania court earlier this week. In a new development in Meek's prison saga, TMZ reports that the rapper is reportedly spending his time handling various jobs to make some money and the pay is far from what the MMG rapper is used to.

Coming from nabbing the No. 2 spot on the Billboard 200 with his latest album Wins & Losses to reportedly working as part of the prison's general labor crew is a major transition, especially if he's working for 19 cents per hour. A source told TMZ that the "Issues" rapper "cleans the cell block, tidies up prison grounds and washes dishes."

Meek and his legal team have made several attempts to get the rapper released on bail but their previous efforts have been denied. Earlier this week, Judge Brinkley, who is handling the case, denied Meek's bail request, citing him as a "danger to the community." Meek's legal team filed another motion to a higher court following Brinkley's rejection but his request was once again denied.

The embattled rapper is currently serving a sentence of two to four years for violating his probation.

Billboard has reached out to Meek Mill's attorney for comment.

Trump will stop spouses of H-1B visa holders from working .
The Trump administration plans to make it illegal for the spouses of thousands of immigrant workers to get jobs in the U.S. Since 2015, the spouses of H-1B visa holders waiting for green cards have been eligible to work in the U.S. on H-4 dependent visas, thanks to a rule introduced by President Obama. Many H-1B visa holders are highly skilled, working in the tech sector. But in a statement Thursday, the Department of Homeland Security said it intends to do away with that rule.
