  Trump to GOP Sen Pat Toomey: 'You're afraid of the NRA' President Donald Trump asked Sen. Pat Toomey, a Pennsylvania Republican who's worked on a bill to strengthen background checks for gun purchases, whether he left out a proposal to raise the gun purchasing age to 21 out of his measure because he is "afraid of the NRA." "Because you're afraid of the NRA, right?" Trump said at a White House meeting Wednesday, when Toomey told him his bill with West Virginia Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin does not address lifting the age of purchasing long guns.

Mark Hamill and The Force are powerful allies.

On Wednesday, the sci-fi icon offered some sweet advice after he saw on Twitter that a young girl was scared to sport a Star Wars shirt at school because she believed she would be made fun of by those who think the films are for boys. 

"My 7-year-old daughter's crying in bed right now because she wants to wear her Star Wars t-shirt to school but is scared her classmates will laugh because she likes 'boy stuff,'" tweeted N.J. Simmonds‏. "I'm so sad/angry for her. Please RT and comment so I can show her how awesome girl #StarWars fans are."

The Force is, & always will be strong with females here on Earth & in galaxies far, far away. - mh," Hamill wrote, along with a GIF of Luke Skywalker brushing off his shoulder from a classic moment in The Last Jedi

Hamill be be honored Thursday with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Harrison Ford is among those slated to speak. 

On Wednesday, Hamill had a bit of fun and pretended to destroy Jimmy Kimmel's star to make way for his own.

Google just changed the name of Android Wear to Wear OS .
The Android Wear brand introduced in 2014 is going away and being replaced with a new name: Wear OS. A new area of Google’s website has officially confirmed the change. Wear OS even has a new slogan: “Make every minute matter.” For now, that’s really all the news there is; since it works on both Android and iOS, Google’s smartwatch platform is being given a more flexible moniker that doesn’t tie it to a specific mobile operating system. Load Error And even though iPhone users don’t get the same amount of features as Android users, some of them are actually picking Wear OS over the Apple Watch.
