Child actress Donna Butterworth, who lit up the screen in the '60s alongside icons like Elvis Presley and Jerry Lewis, died earlier this month after a long illness. She was 62.
Butterworth's death was first reported in an obituary in the Hawaii Tribune Herald, which said she died March 6 at the Hilo Medical Center in the Aloha State.
The actress and singer's roots stretched far back to Hawaii, as her family picked up and moved there from Philadelphia when she was three.
It was around that same time that Butterworth discovered the ukulele, and began performing around the island with stars like Don Ho — a skill she put to good use in her most famous role.
Tim Allen Says He's 'Very Interested' in a 'Home Improvement' Reboot (Exclusive)
The 64-year-old actor opens up to ET about the realistic chances of a revival for the popular '90s sitcom. The 64-year-old actor starred as toolman Tim Taylor on the popular TGIT sitcom that ran for eight seasons from 1991 to 1999 on ABC that launched Allen's acting career. Based on his stand-up, the family comedy co-starred Patricia Richardson, Zachery Ty Bryan, Jonathan Taylor Thomas, Taran Noah Smith, Richard Karn, Debbe Dunning and the late Earl Hindman.
She sang three songs in the flick, including "Queen Wahine's Papaya," a duet with The King.
"Elvis was a fabulous professional but he was also a fabulous human being," Butterworth said of her late co-star in a 2015 interview.
She added the pair did not stay in touch, and that she missed an opportunity for a reunion when Presley returned to Hawaii to film "Aloha from Hawaii Via Satellite" in 1973.
"I saw (his manager) walking around and I almost went up to him. I wanted to say, 'Gee, I would love to see Elvis!' but it just didn't seem right. I've regretted it ever since," she said.
Presley died just four years later — news Butterworth said reduced her to tears after she first heard it on her apartment radio.
"My first instinct was to run to my closet and grab my scrapbook and open it to the page where he and I were together," she said. "Then I just cried."
Missouri's laws are the most lenient for marrying child brides, report finds
An eye-opening report has labeled the state of Missouri as a “destination wedding spot for 15-year-old child brides” because of the state’s laws. The report by The Kansas City Star, published Sunday, found that Missouri has become a popular spot for underage couples to get married — although the numbers have been dwindling. Many states allow children — generally defined as someone under the age of 18 — to get married, but their minimum age and other requirements differ.
Her final acting credit came in 1967 in two episodes of "Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color."
She is survived by her mother, brother, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Priscilla Presley: Revisiting Elvis' Final Days, Drug Abuse in New Documentary Was 'Difficult'
It’s been over 40 years since the death of one of America’s most beloved musical icons, and yet with Elvis Presley: The Searcher, audiences may still discover new things about The King. The documentary, which premieres on HBO April 14, takes viewers on a creative journey from Presley’s childhood through the final 1976 recording sessions held in the famous Jungle Room of his Memphis estate, Graceland. The rock legend’s former wife and longtime love, Priscilla Presley, executive produced the film, and on Wednesday she gathered a host of music minds and luminaries for an insightful panel held during SXSW festival in Austin, Texas. Alongside director Thom Zimny, Sony Music’s John Jackson, and legendary country songwriter/producer David Porter, the group discussed Presley’s Memphis roots and early Beale St. influences, as well as his authenticity as an artist and superhuman ability to connect with fans. The film doesn’t shy away from Presley’s fatal descent into prescription drugs and ill health, but according to director Zimny — who often consulted with Priscilla on the content of the film — “it’s not a clear black and white situation. When I was looking at certain tracks [from] the very end of his life…I still have this feeling that there was a man who was connecting to the music and that this story has been told one way.
