  Beyonce Announces More Post-Coachella College Scholarships, This Time in Partnership With Google Beyonce switched up her set a bit for Coachella’s second weekend, and Monday morning she did the same for another $100,000 grant to be divided between four Historically Black College or Universities — this one from Google.org, the tech giant’s charitable arm. Through her BeyGOOD initiative, the singer announced a partnership with Google.org to award four new scholarships as part of her Homecoming Scholars Award Program, and she also “issues a challenge to other businesses to join Google.org in investing in excellence through education,” according to the announcement.Google.

NEW YORK — Beyonce paid tribute to historically black colleges during her groundbreaking Coachella performance, and now the singer is donating $100,000 to four black universities.

The superstar singer announced Monday the Homecoming Scholars Award Program for the 2018-2019 academic year through her BeyGOOD initiative. She plans to give $25,000 each to Tuskegee University, Bethune-Cookman University, Xavier University of Louisiana and Wilberforce University. One student from each school will receive the scholarship money.
