In the wake of successful TV reboots, the 54-year-old actress is “hoping” she can take on the role of Jamie from the hit sitcom Mad About You alongside Paul Reiser again. The hit series ran from 1992-1999 and won Hunt four Emmys over the course of its run. “The dream is to get to do it,” she tells PEOPLE in the latest issue, adding that she has loves the recent slew of reboots. “I’ve been watching Will & Grace and laughing so hard out loud, they’re just crushing it.” A huge plus of bringing the show back would be working with Reiser, who she admits she still sees regularly. “I have remained very, very close friends with Paul. Reboot, or no reboot we have lunch once a month,” she says. “We really enjoy and care for each other. Plus, my daughter loves Stranger Things so now when he calls she’s excited. She’s never seen an episode of Mad About You but she’s super psyched about Stranger Things!” She continues, “It was a very loving piece of work. We loved it. It would be fun to work on something that’s really about love. We’ll be older though — I hope people are prepared for that.

Ever since The Vampire Diaries ended last year, there's been an empty space in the hearts of many brooding-vampire-fans everywhere. But praise be, TVDalum and fedora enthusiast Ian Somerhalder is back at it again with a new vampire show. Apparently eight seasons on a hit CW show wasn’t enough for him. And thank goodness it wasn’t because now he’ll be on TV a lot more.

The show, which is cleverly called V-Wars, will be on Netflix and is based on a book that centers on Dr. Luther Swann, who is played by Somerhalder. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show is about a vampire disease that quickly spreads throughout society and humans are forced to fight against the vampires, which good luck with that. Somerhalder’s character will have to figure out what caused his best friend to turn into an evil murderous vampire and will be forced to find a cure and stop the vampires from taking over before it’s too late. This show already sounds like it’ll be dramatic and suspenseful.

Jazz Jennings Says She's 'On Track' to Undergo Gender Confirmation Surgery

Jazz Jennings Says She's 'On Track' to Undergo Gender Confirmation Surgery Jazz Jennings is readying for her upcoming gender confirmation surgery. The star of I Am Jazz opened up to PEOPLE about her recent weight loss, which was required for her surgery in June, while at the Rising Stars Luncheon at the 29th Annual GLAAD Media Awards on Wednesday in Beverly Hills, California. “I have reached the 30 lb. goal! And I’ve actually lost a couple of extra pounds,” says Jennings, 17. “I’m hoping to lose about 10 more, just as my personal goal. I’m very happy with my progress and I’m on track for my surgery!” The TLC star says that she feels “complete excitement” about her approaching surgery date — June 20 — but tells PEOPLE she’s waiting to see how her outlook on the operation might shift. “It hasn’t fully hit me yet that it’s happening. I’ve been wanting this all my life,” says Jennings. “But I feel like a couple of weeks beforehand, I’ll be like, ‘Crap! This is a big operation! This is serious.’ So I’m curious to see how my mindset changes when we approach the surgery date.” In November, Jennings defended herself against former Counting On star Derick Dillard, who made comments saying he believed the teenager was being taken advantage of in order to promote an agenda and that he pitied her. His popular supernatural TV show may end soon, but that does not mean The Vampire Diaries star Ian Somerhalder is already not looking forward to equally exciting things ahead. The actor teams up with his wife Nikki Reed as producers for a new television series on The CW.

So, it looks the lead star cast of The Vampire Diaries is done playing the same roles and chances of them appearing on The Originals are pretty slim. Do you think Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder will make time to do a cameo for The CW’s new supernatural TV show ?

"We could not have dreamed of a better choice than Ian Somerhalder to bring his keen understanding of this genre from his years of starring in The Vampire Diaries to lead the cast of V-Wars as Dr. Luther Swann and to be a creative force on this series, as well as to serve as a director this season,” said David Ozer, the president of production company IDW Entertainment.

There's no release date yet, but Netflix said the show will start out with 10 episodes. And if we’re lucky, maybe Somerhalder will bring on his TVD costars like Paul Wesley for an old-fashioned Salvatore brother showdown.

A Star That Survived Its Companion’s Supernova Explosion .
The star that went supernova 40 million light-years away was part of a binary star system. The Hubble Space Telescope has now spotted the other star in the explosion’s fading afterglow. If you were flying through space, irrespective of how you were doing it, it would be sensible to keep away from some objects, like black holes or massive stars on the verge of going supernova. These latter events, among the most energetic that occur in space, happen when a massive star runs out of fuel and collapses under the effect of its own gravity, and the afterglow from the explosion lasts for weeks or even months.
