Earl Thomas won’t attend Seahawks minicamp

Earl Thomas won’t attend Seahawks minicamp Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said last week that he was expecting safety Earl Thomas to be at the team’s mandatory minicamp when it starts on Tuesday, but Thomas has other plans. In a post to Twitter on Sunday, Thomas announced that he will not attend the team’s minicamp. The Seattle Seahawks "Legion of Boom" has officially been disbanded, along with the team's chemistry.

There are definitely issues in the Seahawks camp, as at one point the organization was interested in now Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen before he was drafted, which infuriated current QB Russell Wilson, and rightfully so.

These issues stretch beyond the football field, as star DB Earl Thomas has also held out on attending training camp, in search of a new contract.

Seahawks LB KJ Wright has voiced his opinion on the matter and has taken some subtle shots at his teammate.

This is never something that you want to see, as when teammates start calling out fellow peers, it only leads to more mistrust and drama down the line. Wright didn't directly mention Thomas here, but it's pretty clear he's not happy.

Seattle is reaching a breaking point regarding player relationships, and overall competence from the front office.

These issues can be avoided, but it seems like the level of tension will only continue to rise until someone in the organization decides to step up and put an end to this nonsense.

Speaking of Wagner, how many Seahawks defenders get at least 10 times the press given to Wright ? Let’s see, there’s Wagner, Michael Bennett, Brandon Mebane, Bruce Irvin, Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas and Kam Chancellor. Tweets by @ KJ _ WRIGHT 34.

If the Seahawks are leery about paying an All-Pro nearing 30, why would they pay Wright who also nears 30 and isn't the linchpin of the entire defense like Thomas . Projecting the outcome between Seahawks and Earl Thomas . Earl Thomas announces he'll hold out until he lands new contract.
