White House press secretary Sean Spicer on Monday will hold his first press briefing in nearly three weeks.

Spicer will address reporters at an off-camera briefing in the James S. Brady Press Briefing Room at 2 p.m.

It will be Spicer's first briefing at the White House since June 28.

President Trump was in Europe for the Group of 20 summit from July 5-8 and traveled to France Thursday and Friday of last week, meaning there were no briefings at the White House.

The press secretary has largely been missing from public view in recent week

The level of transparency at the briefings, which have increasingly been conducted off-camera, has become a point of contention between the White House staff and press corps.

Rumors of a shakeup have long hung over the embattled White House press office, but thus far, Trump has not made other major changes.

The Trump administration is expected to announce former Trump transition team member Anthony Scaramucci as White House communications director.The news of the expected appointment was first reported by Axios. A White House official said the move is expected to be announced Friday. Scaramucci did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
