Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner have reportedly sent hundreds of emails from a third private email account while serving in their White House roles. The address is now the third linked to the Kushner family in recent weeks, Politico reported Monday

Politico reported last month that both Kushner and Ivanka Trump had used personal email accounts to correspond about work-related items.

A representative speaking on behalf of the family told the outlet that the first daughter has been careful about her keeping her work related emails separate from her personal life, adding that her emails have been saved on the White House email system.

Kushner's lawyer Abbe Lowell defended the account, saying that Kushner "uses his White House email address to conduct White House business."

Lowell also said Kushner sent fewer than 100 emails with White House colleagues through the account in question, and in large part because others initiated contact with Kushner on the private account first.

The lawyer added that Kushner has forwarded any White-House related messages to his official government account in order to comply with the Presidential Records Act.

A White House spokesman additionally said the administration has told staffers to comply with the Presidential Records Act, which requires all documents related to White House communications be preserved, as well as "applicable guidelines for work-related communications."
