Curry's return would give Golden State a much-needed boost against the surging Raptors, who have won six of seven and hold the second seed in the Eastern Conference. Swingmen Andre Iguodala (hip flexor strain) and Omri Casspi (low back soreness) are listed as questionable.

Curry participated in practice Thursday and lobbied to play Friday in the 108-94 victory over the Bucks. But the team elected to keep the two-time MVP out to allow him to play in the second game of the back-to-back, avoiding two games in two days on the tender ankle.

The injury to the same ankle caused Curry to miss 11 games last month. The Warriors remade their style, focusing on the defensive end and being more deliberate on offense. They went 9-2 before Curry's return Dec. 30.
