  MacKinnon helps Avs beat Ducks 3-1 for 7th straight win Nathan MacKinnon kept up his torrid home scoring with a goal, Jonathan Bernier stopped 33 shots and the Colorado Avalanche beat the Anaheim Ducks 3-1 on Monday for their seventh straight win. Matt Nieto and Colin Wilson also scored for the Avs, who are outscoring opponents 29-0 during their longest win streak since the 2005-06 season.

Cam Newton injured his knee in playoff loss to Saints .
<p>Losing to the Saints was a rough way to end the season for the Panthers and their franchise quarterback, Cam Newton.</p>In addition to getting no help from his wide receivers, Newton got pummeled in the backfield repeatedly, sacked four times, poked in the eye and kicked in the head.
