Report: Lonzo expecting child with girlfriend Denise Garcia

Report: Lonzo expecting child with girlfriend Denise Garcia Lonzo Ball is reportedly set to become a father. The Los Angeles Lakers point guard and his longtime girlfriend, Denise Garcia, are expecting their first child together, according to TMZ Sports. The report states that Garcia is four months along in her pregnancy, though there's no word yet on whether it's a boy or girl.

The Los Angeles Lakers didn’t have a player named to the 2018 NBA All- Star Game , but they will be represented by Lonzo Ball , Brandon Ingram and Kyle Kuzma on the U.S. Team in the Mtn Dew Rising Stars Challenge .

The next day, Lonzo Ball , Kyle Kuzma, and Brandon Ingram were all named to the US roster for the Rising Stars Challenge . All three players were obvious choices as each has made their mark this season.

Looks like Lonzo Ball won’t return before the All-Star break.

After missing his last 13 games with a left MCL sprain, Lonzo Ball should be making his return to the Los Angeles Lakers soon, but not as soon as some, including Ball, had hoped.

According to Tania Ganguli of the Los Angeles Times, head coach Luke Walton has ruled out Ball for the next two games, making his availability for Friday’s Rising Stars Challenge less likely.

Ball was one of three Lakers selected to represent Team USA in the Rising Stars Challenge, along with rookie Kyle Kuzma and second-year forward Brandon Ingram. Should Ball miss out this year, the Lakers will be well represented regardless.

Lonzo Ball (left knee) will miss at least the next two games . He will miss Friday's game vs. the Nets and Sunday's game vs. the Thunder as the Lakers wrap up their five- game road trip. Ball hasn't returned to practice yet, but we keep hearing that he's making progress.

Los Angeles Lakers coach Luke Walton shared that Lonzo Ball went through a contact practice but felt soreness, so he'll sit out the next two games . By Shahan Ahmed. Published 2 minutes ago.

Still, it’s disappointing to think the No. 1 and No. 2 overall picks won’t be participants in the Rising Stars Challenge, especially with the latter showing signs of All-Star potential in his rookie campaign.

On the season, Ball is averaging 10.2 points, 7.1 rebounds, 7.1 assists, 1.5 steals and 0.9 blocks per game. His shooting from the field (35.6 percent) still leaves much to be desired, but he was showing a spike in production prior to suffering an injury to his left MCL. In December, Ball was shooting 42.2 percent from the field and 37.7 from long range on 5.3 attempts per game.

Ball will surely miss out on playing in his first Rising Stars game, especially in front his hometown crowd in Los Angeles, but his long-term health is more important than some exhibition game. If all goes well, he’ll likely get an invite again next year.

Ball will have a 10-day gap between now and his next game to get his knee to full strength. Hopefully by the time the Lakers return from All-Star break, Ball will be ready to lead the Lakers to a playoff push alongside his new teammates Isaiah Thomas and Channing Frye.

Gibson, Butler lead Timberwolves rally past Lakers, 119-111

Gibson, Butler lead Timberwolves rally past Lakers, 119-111 Taj Gibson scored a season-high 28 points and Jimmy Butler added 24, providing the Minnesota Timberwolves with the production and energy for a 119-111 comeback victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday night. Jeff Teague pitched in 20 points and Jamal Crawford added 15 for the Timberwolves, who rallied from a deficit as large as 15 points in the second quarter and 12 points late in the third to raise their home record to 24-7 on an emotional evening that started with a tribute to former coach and executive Flip Saunders.

Lonzo Ball has shoulder sprain, out at least a week for Lakers . He would return to the game , but the injury is keeping him out of the Lakers ' next game against the Wolves on Christmas Day.

Los Angeles Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball will miss the team's next two games as he continues to recover from a knee injury, meaning that he won't suit up again until after the All- Star break. Lakers coach Luke Walton said that Ball has looked good in his workouts
