  Actress Sally Kirkland Rushed to Hospital After Suffering Fall: Report Sally Kirkland was reportedly rushed to the hospital on Wednesday after taking a fall during a radio appearance. Kirkland, 76, was recording on John Fugelsang’s SiriusXM show when she fell and hit her knee and face, reports TMZ. The Oscar-nominated actress suffered multiple lacerations, including on her face. According to TMZ, an ambulance arrived on the scene and took her to a nearby hospital. Kirkland’s injuries will require multiple stitches but she is expected to make a full recovery. Appearing in over 200 films throughout her career, Kirkland is best known for her 1987 Best Actress-nominated role in Anna. She also appeared on television shows including Three’s Company, Murder, She Wrote and Days of Our Lives. She currently hosts a weekly program on the syndicated HealthyLife Radio Network.

Iowa football’s newest tradition of its fans waving to the nearby children’s hospital during games is living on, even though it’s the offseason. Last fall, Hawkeye fans began waving up to University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital that that overlooks the football stadium. The stadium’s crowd waves to the hospital at the end of every first quarter.
