Carlos Hyde is coming back to Ohio. According to numerous reports, including from Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, the former Ohio State standout running back will sign a free agent contract with the Cleveland Browns on Wednesday.

  The Browns revamped their roster with four trades in 24 hours The Browns are making moves this offseason.The Browns entered the offseason with the most 2018 draft picks in the league, and Dorsey turned a handful of those picks into a new starting quarterback, a Pro Bowl wide receiver, and a new starting corner.

Hyde spent the first four years of his NFL career in San Francisco, rushing for 2,729 yards and 21 touchdowns. He was a second-round draft pick back in 2014 after a storied career with the Buckeyes.

He will replace Isaiah Crowell, who will sign with the New York Jets.

Phil Bryant formally tapped the Republican former state senator  to fill the unexpired term of Senate Appropriations Chairman Thad Cochran, who is poised to go out with a win on an omnibus spending bill before resigning effective April 1.Hyde-Smith spoke following Bryant’s announcement in her hometown of Brookhaven on Wednesday afternoon.
