Wilks seems to be leaving the door open for Josh Rosen , who the Cardinals selected at No. 10 overall after trading up with the Raiders. The physical was looming as a potential holdup, though the Cardinals obviously know that Bradford ' s balky left knee is part of what they're signing up for.

The Arizona Cardinals have stated that Sam Bradford is their starting quarterback, but they have also made it clear he’s going to be on a health plan that limits him to protect his oft-injured knees. This plan to protect Bradford could also be the one that ultimately keeps him from being the starter in the end, as Josh Rosen will have plenty of opportunities to shine.

As Steve Wyche of NFL Network reported Tuesday, Rosen will have a lot of chances to work with the team’s No. 1 offense this offseason.

He’s already impressed head coach Steve Wilks with his command of the huddle and abilities as a passer, per Wyche, and given how much the Cardinals gave up to move up to No. 10 to draft him, Rosen will not be held back if he excels.

If Bradford stays healthy and is clearly the better option, then there’s no doubt that he’ll be starting under center come Week 1. But if Rosen takes advantage of his chances to work with the starting unit and shines, we definitely shouldn’t rule out the rookie starting, either.

Cowboys' Maliek Collins breaks foot in offseason conditioning drills .
Collins, a third-round pick in 2016, compiled five sacks and a forced fumble as a rookie. He tallied 22 combined tackles last season.Collins will undergo surgery early next week after breaking the fifth metatarsal in his left foot, according to the Star-Telegram. It marks the second time in five months Collins would have surgery on his left foot as he had surgery in January to fix a stress reaction that bothered him throughout last season, although he was still able to start every game.
