Jennifer Lopez Says She'd Want a 'More Intimate' Proposal Than One on the Red Carpet The 'World of Dance' judge and producer said a Met Gala red carpet proposal was "amazing," but not for her.Lopez appeared on Wednesday's Today, where she talked about the fashion and the magic of the Met, her favorite dress, which was worn by Juliette Binoche, and the sweet moment when rapper 2 Chainz proposed to his longtime girlfriend, Nakesha Ward, on the Met Gala red carpet. For the record, Ward said yes.

The radio war between Chris Russo, Mike Francesa and the ones they left behind continued Just before the sendoff of their reunion Wednesday, with Francesa joining Russo on MLB ESPN New York ’s “ Michael Kay Show” rallied in the month of February to beat Mike Francesa ’s WFAN

That username serves as an homage to the clip’s subject – veteran New York sportstalk radio broadcaster Mike Francesa . Francesa believes Twitter is the enemy of reason and pragmatism. If there is a media outlet that attracts more of Francesa ’s vitriol than YouTube, it is Twitter .

There's some big news coming out of the New York media universe:

That's right: WFAN host Mike Francesa will be joining Twitter this week.

This comes after years of him ripping social media and swearing he'll never do it - from The Daily News in 2012:

Parma complete amazing comeback from bankruptcy to Serie A

Parma complete amazing comeback from bankruptcy to Serie A Led by 40-year-old captain Alessandro Lucarelli, Parma sealed their third straight promotion to rejoin the top flight three years after going bustBankruptcy forced Parma to reform in 2015, with the club promoted in each of the previous two seasons.

On Friday, Mike Francesa , New Yawk's Numbah One sports radio personality for the last 30 years, will air his final show from 1 to 6:30 p.m. ET on WFAN Sports Radio 660 AM (and 101.9 FM). Amazing .

Chris Christie, Mike Francesa , Radio , Sports Radio , WFAN, Media. How Georgia football's official Twitter account got suspended for its spring game. Could the New Jersey governor be the next great New York sports radio host?

"You're never going to catch me tweeting, I promise you," the WFAN host said during an uninformed rant against the ultra-popular service back in March. "If I do, you've got a scoop. It'll never happen."

There's something really sad about this development. It's the end of an era of sorts for the fake Mike Francesa accounts, who so thoroughly entertained fans and listeners for years by tweeting in Francesa's heavy NEW YAWK accent, which resulted in stuff like this:

It's not like those accounts will suddenly disappear on Friday. But they're so much more entertaining than what Francesa might type out on Twitter, particularly because Francesa said he doesn't have time to reply to everyone who reaches out on there. So I'm hoping that having the real Francesa on social media doesn't make the fake accounts take a step back.

Will Smith to Perform Official World Cup Anthem

Will Smith to Perform Official World Cup Anthem Smith will join Nicky Jam and Kosovo singer Era Istrefi to perform the official song of the 2018 global sporting event.Although there are multiple songs associated with the World Cup, the official anthem is usually the most high-profile and is performed at the finale of the World Cup, which will be watched by an estimated 2 billion people. Past anthems include Shakira’s “Waka Waka” and Ricky Martin’s “The Cup of Life.

From 1989-2008, Mike Francesa and Chris Russo dominated the New York sports talk radio scene. Relatively unknown in 1989, the two radio personalities forcibly lodged themselves in the New York sports fans' consciousness, as only two boys from Long Island could.

At the same time, it's going to be amazing - we're going to watch in real time how he wraps his head around this phenomenon that he's years too late in joining. Will his head explode when he sees an Odell Beckham Jr. tweet that he thinks proves the wideout is a distraction? Will he accidentally tweet something that was supposed to be a direct message? I'm excited for the moment he tweets a hot take during the NBA Finals and gets hundreds of angry responses, then talks about how this is why he never wanted to join "Twittah" to begin with.

Who knows? Maybe that's more fodder for the faux Francesas, and it gets really meta and weird. That would probably be the best outcome.

The 20-year-old said she believes her presence on the force brings visibility to the Sikh community.  “I feel blessed. The only reason people are interested is because of my dastar (turban),” she told Desi Talk. “People haven’t seen anything like that. It’s great because it gives me an opportunity to tell them what’s behind the turban, educate them. That’s how we love one another.” The Sikh turban, which stands for service, compassion and honesty, among other values, was previously banned from officers’ attire.
