The World Cup has once again captured the attention of the world for the few weeks it takes center stage on every television screen across the globe.

Whether your team is in it or not, there's something about the international sporting event that gets us all fired up.

One of the best parts about the World Cup is seeing the venues in different parts of the country. Many of us have never traveled to places like Russia, Brazil, South Africa, or, Qatar (which will host the 2022 World Cup, despite being in a region known as one of the hottest on the planet).

Still, these host cities have become spectacles and wonders in and of themselves, which got us thinking: Which international cities would be great for hosting a Super Bowl?

Nick Foles: It was hard to watch other QBs sign big contracts

Nick Foles: It was hard to watch other QBs sign big contracts Quarterback Nick Foles has been consistent this offseason when it comes to expressing his happiness about being a member of the Eagles even if staying in Philly means he is back to being a backup this season. Foles didn’t stray from that path during a conversation with Peter King for his inaugural Football Morning in America column for NBC Sports. Foles called himself “very happy” about his situation and said that going to a team that traded high draft picks for him “might not have been the best fit for me,” but none of that means Foles didn’t notice other people cashing in this offseason.

Let's take a look four.

London, England

Let's start with the most obvious one. The NFL has been pushing their London games ever since the first one back in 2007 between the Dolphins and the Giants. There's been speculation that the league will eventually put a team in London permanently, and that these games are a litmus test for the international market. London is one of the most historic cities in the world. It only makes sense to host a Super Bowl at Wembley.

Hong Kong, China

If you want a stellar venue, look no further than Hong Kong. Not only is the city filled with culture, food and spectacular views of the water, but it is also a quick ferry ride away from Macau, which has been described as Las Vegas on steroids. If you want to attract the richest and sexiest celebrities in the world during Super Bowl week, having a place like Macau nearby will do just that. Can you imagine a full week of Super Bowl parties there?

Houston, Phoenix among future Final Four sites

Houston, Phoenix among future Final Four sites The Final Four is headed back to Houston, Phoenix, San Antonio and Indianapolis. The NCAA announced the sites for 2023-2026 on Monday, with all four cities recently hosting the finale of the NCAA Tournament.Houston, site of Villanova's last-second win over North Carolina in 2016, will host the Final Four in 2023. Phoenix will get the Final Four for the second time in 2024 after hosting in 2017.San Antonio, site of this year's Final Four, will host in 2025 and Indianapolis will be the host city in 2026, along with 2021.Indianopolis has hosted the Final Four five times, including in 2015.

The city has hosted the Super Bowl four times, two in old Tampa Stadium and two in Raymond James Stadium, the home of the NFL’s Buccaneers. Some are of the opinion that the Super Bowl should be held in New Orleans every year.

Sydney, Australia

Sydney is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, and with amazing beaches and attractions like the Sydney Opera House and Bondi Beach, why wouldn't you want to host the biggest game in the NFL there? Plus, Australia gave us Jarryd Hayne, who entertained us for all of ten minutes back in 2015. Maybe it's our turn to return the favor to Australia.

Zurich, Switzerland

Zurich may not look like the best city to host a Super Bowl given its historical architecture and the fact that their major stadium, Letzigrund, doesn't even hold 30,000 for football games ("soccer" for us Americans). But given that the NFL is always looking to hold the Super Bowl at a neutral site, why not Switzerland? It doesn't get more neutral than that.

Gronk trolls Bills by spiking hat, dancing around it at Buffalo wedding It's Gronk at a wedding, what did you think was going to happen? Rob Gronkwski took part in a local wedding in Buffalo (where he is from, it should be noted), and the Patriots star tight end didn't take too kindly to a Bills hate being placed on his head during the reception. The result was predictable, yet hilarious. The caption reads: Rob #Gronkowski spiked a #Bills hat at a wedding in Buffalo

New catch rule includes more than third step, reaching with ball .
The NFL’s most recent effort to fix the catch rule included the crafting of an objective test for satisfying the all-important third element of the rule. The two examples cited by the league in passing the catch rule were taking a third step or reaching or extending the ball toward the line to gain. But the final rule identifies other concrete ways in which the player will be deemed to have possessed the ball long enough to complete a catch.
