Tuscaloosa, AL — With a couple of early enrollees having already faxed their paperwork in for the Crimson Tide, there seems to be a lot swirling around about the running back from Antioch, California, Najee Harris . Harris originally committed to Alabama on his first visit to Tuscaloosa in April of 2015 and has been locked in ever since. Lately though, people are wondering whether his commitment is strong enough. Harris , his mother, and uncle recently visited Michigan and seemed to really enjoy themselves.

Antioch (Calif.) running back Najee Harris has more than lived up to his lofty ranking this week at The Opening.

Five-star running back Najee Harris arrived in Alabama on Sunday, reaffirming his commitment to the Crimson Tide instead of flipping to Michigan.

It’s over. It’s all over.

One of the most unique recruitments that we’ve ever seen in the modern recruiting era has finally ended, as 5-star running back Najee Harris arrived in Birmingham, Alabama on Sunday, reaffirming his commitment to the Crimson Tide.

Harris was spotted in the Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport, as first reported by AL.com.

Nick Saban’s staff was given stiff competition from Jim Harbaugh’s Michigan Wolverines, who tried to flip the nation’s No. 1 running back and No. 1 overall player from Alabama.

Man accused of killing son in hot car appeals conviction ATLANTA — Lawyers for a Georgia man have begun their appeal of his conviction in the death of his young son, who died in a hot car in suburban Atlanta. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports (http://bit.ly/2iHW9cl ) that lawyers for Justin Ross Harris filed a motion this week for a new trial, the first step in what's likely to be a lengthy appeals process. In the court documents, defense lawyers say prejudicial testimony allowed by the court made the prospect of a fair trial an "absolute impossibility.

Five - star running back Najee Harris could potentially flip his commitment from Alabama to Michigan, and the Campus Insiders staff gave their predictions on where the nation’s No. 1 player will end up. When he spoke with Campus Insiders, Najee Harris refused to answer any questions regarding his current commitment to Alabama and whether or not a flip to Michigan was possible.

2017 five - star running back Najee Harris is the No. 1 recruit in the nation. The Alabama commit from Antioch High School in California has made a special connection with Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh, according to The San Francisco Chronicle. "He's dope," Harris said of Harbaugh. "Everybody thinks he's weird, but he's not weird. I like him a lot. He's a funny dude.

It had been reported that Michigan was confident it would add Harris to its class, while the Tide remained confident it would keep him in its class.

It was believed Harris would inform the media of his decision following the 2017 U.S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio on Saturday, but he later denied that and claimed he would simply arrive on campus to inform the world of his decision.

Harris originally committed to Alabama in April of 2015, but an official visit to Ann Arbor on the weekend of December 11, right before the recruiting dead period set in, sparked up the possibility Harris would flip to Michigan.

He showed off his Wolverines gear on his Snapchat account during Christmas, and the buzz continued to grow.

However, flipping a recruit of Harris’ caliber from Saban is not an easy task. The Crimson Tide, who will play Clemson on Monday night for potentially another College Football Playoff championship, currently has the No. 1-ranked recruiting class in the 2017 cycle with 26 commits, five of which are 5-star recruits.
