Celtics star Isaiah Thomas is playing in Sunday's Game 1 against Chicago - one day after his 22-year-old sister, Chyna, was killed in a car crash in Washington.

Before the game, Thomas was understandably emotional. When the Celtics were having their pregame shootaround, Thomas had to step away as he was overcome with emotion. His teammate, Avery Bradley, was right there by his side.

Bradley and Thomas' friendship extends back to their childhood in Washington. He joined Thomas on the bench to console his teammate.

Celtics head coach Brad Stevens told the media on Sunday that Thomas was struggling, but he expected the star guard to play.
