Column: So what that Alonso is racing the Indy 500? During the last race at Long Beach, there was buzz that IndyCar officials wanted a superstar to commit to the Indianapolis 500 and make the 101st running a must-watch race. The 500 is one of the most iconic events in America, and it was going to be difficult for the speedway to top last year's centennial celebration. So names were bandied about, all of them drivers who might consider running next month's race and would draw a good deal of domestic interest. There was Tony Stewart, who never won the 500 — his dream race.

Danica has been the type of girl that every man dreams of for a very long time , even as a young girl she was more interested in motors than makeup. She has become incredibly famous for her racing skills on the track in both NASCAR and INDY racing .

Danica Patrick ’s had to retire from today’s Auto Club 400 after Kasey Kahne spun her into the wall. Needless to say, she mad. Patrick had gone low on the banking to get around Kahne, who was a lap down at the time .

BRISTOL, Tenn. – Danica Patrick knows the weather forecast for this weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway is not encouraging.

But she hopes NASCAR will do a better job of keeping Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series drivers updated on the status of the track during rain delays that seem inevitable. In the past, she said that hasn’t always been the case.

“It’s a little bit exhausting, because you always feel like you have to be somewhat ready – and NASCAR doesn’t always do the best job of giving us a lot of notice,” Patrick said. “Like there have been many times when I’ve been on the bus in my pajamas and they’re like, ‘Green flag in 15 minutes.’

“And I’m like, ‘What???!!! Did you not have any indication that this was coming 15 minutes ago? So that’s kind of the exhausting part, because you have to remain pretty ready. Hopefully NASCAR can do a better job of giving us a little bit more notice than 15 minutes to green.”
