It’s the whole “you’re lucky we lost before facing you argument.” And this time, it’s absolutely glorious. In talking about his team’s second-round playoff exit against the Boston Celtics, Washington Wizards guard Bradley Beal had quite the interesting theory.

Beal talked about a whole host of things pertaining to the NBA Playoffs, ultimately concluding that the Cleveland Cavaliers purposely tanked for the No. 2 seed in order not to play his Wizards in the second round.

No, really.

“Cleveland didn’t want to see us. I always said that. I felt like that’s the reason they didn’t play us in the second round. They didn’t want to see us in the second round,” Beal said, via CSN Mid-Atlantic . “If they were going to go down, they were going to go down in the conference finals. They didn’t want to go down in the second round.”

Avery Bradley's defense has been key ingredient for Celtics

Avery Bradley's defense has been key ingredient for Celtics Avery Bradley has been doing all the little things to get the Boston Celtics over the hump this postseason. Yes, he created a buzz with his playoff-career high 29 points to give Boston a 3-2 lead over the Washington Wizards while backcourt mate Isaiah Thomas was facing double- and triple-teams during Game 5.But it's been Bradley's consistency on defense during the first two rounds that has the top-seeded Celtics on the verge of an Eastern Conference finals matchup with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Bradley Beal believes the Cleveland Cavaliers did everything within their power to not face his Washington Wizards in the playoffs. It’s all quite a grandiose theory Beal laid out to CSN Mid-Atlantic’s Chris Miller: “Cleveland didn ’ t want to see us .

Washington Wizards ’ Bradley Beal Has Solid Shot To Make Team USA Roster by Ben Mehic. Love didn ’ t adjust well to his new role with the Cavaliers , despite playing with one of the best players to ever play the game.

Someone ask Beal about his thoughts on the moon landing or Bigfoot, because this is an otherworldly conspiracy theory right here.

Essentially, the guard is saying that Cleveland, winners of nine consecutive to start the playoffs, would have gone down in the second round if LeBron and Co. played the Wizards.

While an argument could be made that Washington might have made for a more difficult second-round opponent than Toronto, this whole thing is just so ridiculous.

In addition to starting this year’s playoffs with a perfect 9-0 record, Cleveland put up a 12-2 mark in the Eastern Conference Playoffs last spring. That was on the road to the team earning its first NBA title.

LeBron James is playing at a historically good level. He’s the reigning NBA Finals MVP and has his Cavaliers three wins away from a third consecutive trip to the championship round. Washington has not made it to even the conference championship round since 1978-79, a mere 14 years before Beal himself was born.

The Boston Celtics came to Washington rocking all black, an homage to the Wizards doing the same to them back in January after declaring ahead of time that the game would be a funeral. With the Celtics pushing the Wizards’ season to the brink in Game 6 Friday, it appears the Cs wanted to be respectful before taking out their enemy.

The Washington Wizards couldn't beat the Boston Celtics in the second round, but guard Bradley Beal thinks they would have posed a problem for the defending champion Cleveland Cavaliers . "Cleveland didn ' t want to see us ," he said in a Thursday interview with CSN's Chris Miller

Oshie: We didn ' t find a way to play our best game. In order for the Wizards to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers , they will likely need a big night from Porter, who has so far done a great job as a complement for John Wall and Bradley Beal .

That pretty much sums it all up.

NBA playoffs 2017: Cavaliers' Tyronn Lue says Celtics more difficult to defend than Warriors .
Did Tyronn Lue throw some shade at the Warriors? The Cavaliers coach made a shocking statement Wednesday, saying the Celtics were tougher to defend than the Warriors."I don't even think about (the Warriors)," Lue told reporters, via "We're just focused on Boston. The stuff they're running, it's harder to defend than Golden State's [offense] for me, as far as the actions and all the running around and all the guys who are making all the plays, so it's a totally different thing."Lue's comment is interesting, since the Warriors are unanimously considered a better team than the Celtics.
