Black, a point guard for the Great Danes from 2009 to 2013, is one of 31 contestants this season trying to woo Rachel Lindsay, a 32-year-old attorney from Dallas.

The season already has been filmed. Cast members are mostly prohibited from discussing the show until it airs, but Lindsay did tell USA Today that the season ends with her getting engaged.

On the show, Black will be known simply as "Michael." In his profile on the show's website, he describes himself as "Definitely not the center of attention because there is always a reason why people need attention. I'm confident in who I am as a person."
