The NSAC has approved Mayweather Promotions' request to hold a boxing event - presumably for the boxer's long-discussed dance with the UFC lightweight champion - on Aug. 26 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, chairman Anthony Marnell told ESPN's Brett Okamoto Wednesday.Mayweather's camp had reportedly verbally retracted the request on Tuesday, although the date was still on the docket for Wednesday's meeting.Whether the blockbuster crossover bout does indeed go down on Aug.

According to TMZ Sports, BIG3 has no plans to move the championship game. Meanwhile, the outlet is reporting that plans are in motion to move the BIG3 event from T-Mobile to MGM Grand Garden Arena. Though, it doesn’t seem like those at the top of the start-up basketball league are willing to do that.
