After another tough round Saturday, in which he posted a 2-over-par 73, McIlroy will simply be playing for pride in the final round Sunday.

"I want to sign off on a positive note. It hasn't been the week that I wanted," McIlroy told Amanda Balionis of TNT. "If I can finish. ... I think the way the leaderboard is, if I can finish in the red tomorrow - so 1-under for the tournament - that could be a top 10. It's a hollow victory in some ways."
