Report: Tannehill knee injury possibly PCL; MRI results still pending

Report: Tannehill knee injury possibly PCL; MRI results still pending The Miami Dolphins are awaiting MRI results on the left knee of quarterback Ryan Tannehill, who sustained a non-contact injury on Thursday during the team’s training camp practice. The Dolphins have not made a statement about Tannehill’s injury, other than offensive coordinator Clyde Christensen saying he did not know the extent of the issue. According to a report from the Miami Herald’s Armando Salguero, the Dolphins know Tannehill hyperextended the knee, but do now know to what extend there is damage.

Ajayi 's concussion was confirmed and he will miss Wednesday's practice , ESPN.com's James Walker reports. (about 5 days ago) With him still sidelined Monday, it's rather doubtful Ajayi will be available for Thursday's exhibition tilt, or that the Dolphins would play him if he clears protocol by then.

- Miami Dolphins running back Jay Ajayi is in the NFL concussion protocol due to a hit he sustained in Monday's practice , most likely from safety T.J. McDonald during a two-minute drill. When Ajayi will return to practice is uncertain and will be determined by team trainers, not coaches or Ajayi .

The Miami Dolphins running back returned to the practice field Sunday, but he remains in concussion protocol, according to Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald.

Salguero also noted Ajayi was healthy enough to participate in team drills.

Ajayi has been sidelined for two weeks with a concussion and the Dolphins sorely need him to be ready for Week 1. Miami lost Ryan Tannehill to a season-ending knee injury and now Jay Cutler is being tasked with trying to learn the offense in just a few weeks, so Adam Gase and Co. will no doubt be leaning on Ajayi in the early goings.

The 24-year-old was a breakout start last year for the Dolphins, posting nearly 1,300 yards and eight touchdowns on the ground.
