​​Eariler today, the NFL filed a motion to a U.S. District Court, attempting to slash Elliott and the NFLPA's lawsuit against the league.

The commissioner's office suspended Elliott for six games for his off the field​​ issues, namely, allegations of domestic abuse by a former girlfriend.

After the suspension was handed down, the NFLPA went to bat for Elliott, suing the NFL for breach of the CBA--and on August 16th, Elliott appealed the suspension.

There is no indication one way or another which way this court will rule, or where this whole fiasco will end. One thing is clear, though, and it's that Ezekiel Elliott will be on the field when the Cowboys kick off their season against the New York Giants on Sunday.
