Elliott and the NFLPA are due to respond to the the NFL's emergency stay motion on Wednesday, with the NFL then having two days to respond. Following the guidelines of the unwritten rules which were adhered to last week, this all likely means that nothing can legally take place in time for Elliott to miss Week 2. The NFL announced Elliott's appeal was denied last Tuesday evening, but that he was still eligible to play Week 1 against New York because that happened too late in the week for the two teams to fairly adjust.
