Report: Elliott appeal ruling not expected Monday

If a ruling is not made by 4:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, the running back will be eligible to play Week 1 against the New York Giants. For a suspension to be in effect, it needs to be out of the appeal process by that time or the player is automatically eligible for that week's game, though they may still have to serve the entire suspension.

While not going to as far to admit that, the league pretty much conceded he will play this upcoming Sunday.

Elliott recorded 130 yards on 29 touches in Dallas’ blowout 19-3 win over the New York Giants in Week 1. Having him on the field is obviously going to be huge for the defending NFC East champs against a stout Broncos defense in Week 2.
