During Monday’s game between the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears, Robert Griffin III took to Twitter to suggest that “for his own safety,” injured Vikings quarterback Sam Bradford should be benched.

It is apparent that Bradford’s twice-surgically repaired knee is not right. If anyone can speak to the dangers of playing on a hobbled knee, it’s Griffin, who may well have ended his career doing so.

Certainly, nothing that Bradford did Monday suggested that he belonged in the game. And right before the half, the Vikings listened to reason and replaced him with Case Keenum.

No. 1 pick Fultz to begin season on 76ers' bench .
76ers guard Markelle Fultz, the No. 1 pick in the NBA Draft, will not be in Philadelphia’s starting lineup when the team opens its season.Since a knee issue has kept Fultz out of most of the preseason — he’s seen action in just two games — the 76ers plan to bring him off the bench and ease him into the rotation, rather than letting him run the offense from the get-go.
